I’ve been keeping a very exciting secret under my Santa hat… and now it’s time to share!

I’m thrilled to officially announce that I’ve signed a deal with Tantor Audio for the first ten books in my Christmas Mysteries cozy mystery series! That’s right—Candy Cane Hollow is coming to audio! 🎄🔍

Whether you’re baking gingerbread, walking the dog, or heading off on a festive road trip, soon you’ll be able to bring the whimsical world of Candy Cane Hollow along with you. And I couldn’t be happier about the talented narrator who’s bringing the stories to life…

🎙️ Meet Charlie Albers – the voice of Candy Cane Hollow!

The brilliant and award-winning Charlie Albers has been chosen to narrate the series, and she’s just as excited as I am! Charlie has a warm, dynamic voice that perfectly captures the cosy charm and festive sparkle of the world I’ve created. If you love audiobooks with personality, heart, and a touch of Christmas magic, you’re going to fall head over elf-shoes for this series. Here’s more about Charlie:

Multi-SOVAS-Award Nominated, Award-Winning actor Charlie Albers records audiobooks, audio dramas, TV promos, commercials, video games and more from her beautiful, coastal based pro-home studio 50 minutes from NYC. Originally from just outside of Bath, where she lived in a small village with lots of “goings on” (perfect book fodder), Charlie moved to the USA where she lives with her family of 3 kids, 2 dogs and 1 Dutch husband who she met at University.

Charlie has narrated a range of genres in audiobooks, and to date has around 125 audiobooks in various names. She is beyond excited about her upcoming project voicing the Christmas series as she will get to live in the holiday season - her favourite time of year. She plans on using the time to perfect her baking and cooking and will be playing Christmas music on repeat.

She says : ”As a narrator sometimes it is just lovely to narrate books where we can inhabit a world where everything is cozy or fun and nothing devastating happens. When our real world is so busy and crazy, Mona’s books are a perfect medicine. We can sit back and know that things are not wild or crazy or harmful. And I am SO excited to share these books with the world. As a respite from everything outside, for a short while we can put our headphones on, snuggle up and just live in Mona’s world.”

Also as an expat she hankers after her home back in Blighty, and this will be her special time to sit back in her comfy sofa with her dogs, have some twinkly lights on and delve into prepping this brilliant series. She knows she will fall in love with Holly and the gang, and can’t wait to be laughing along at the utterly brilliant writing! Of course she needs to get into the zone so she will HAVE to watch some Christmas movies and listen to Christmas music… starting - NOW!

As well as being an actor and audiobook narrator, Charlie is also a certified Rapid Tapping instructor and is training for her practitioner certificate this year. She presents mindfulness segments on the radio, teaches online wellness sessions, and collaborates with producers and DJs worldwide to fuse the beauty of the spoken word with music. She uses her skills and her background in Food Science and Psychology, to work with clients to encourage a life of calm through finding moments of peace combined with healthy living, gorgeous products and meditation / mindfulness - encouraging living life with “a little grit and a lot of grace”.
